About in the whisper
The world is so loud. Everywhere we go there is noise, clutter and chaos. We are trying to accomplish more in less time all while living up to ridiculous standards. There is news and sports 24/7 on tv, radio and social media. We scream our opinions both verbally and through written word. We blast music, have the tv on and we are constantly connected to technology, making it difficult to find a quiet place.
So how do we hear God in the chaos, clutter and noise? While the world is screaming, we need to find a way to be still and wait on Him. He communicates with us through His word, as women encouraging each other and through our circumstances. But sometimes we will find Him in the whisper.
The Lord said to Elijah, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
